how to swing a golf club : discoverIt is definitely not possible to describe completely how to swing a golf club in just one article, when the professional players have spent their entire lives perfecting their shots.

However, in this article we have made an attempt to explain the shots to help you evolve as a better player and move quickly on from first learning how to swing a golf club.

Every ideal golf shot is a perfect combination of science and art.

Each swing is different from the other but their fundamentals are the same, like- power, thrust, centrifugal force, levers, and more.

A perfect blending of the fundamentals and your own style makes a splendid swing, which can only come with regular practice and time.

It is normal human nature to look for instant results, but unfortunately, it isn’t possible. There are no quick fixes to learning the perfect golf swing.

It is the same human nature that needs time to learn and improve a new physical skill and playing Golf is no exception.

Below we will discuss the three aspects of a golf swing that make a shot:

- Backswing:

Discovering How To Swing A Golf ClubThe backswing should equally focus on your club and arm extension and you body rotation. Usually the backswing is a single move that is fluid and smooth.

To have a better control on the back swing it is important to keep a straight front elbow and the back elbow should bend by 90 degrees ideally.

There are not many golfers who can do that perfectly, however it can come to you only through regular practice.

- Downswing:

You will be surprised to know your arms have very little to do when it comes to downswing. It all depends on your thighs, hips, and knee movement.

For a proper downswing the body weight of the player should transfer from the knees to the thighs and then to the hips. The movement should be very smooth and fluid to give the feel of a snake uncoiling.

- Follow through:

At the time of impact, the club shaft and the front arm should ideally form a straight line. You need to make sure that your body weight is on the inside of your rear foot and outside of the forward heel. The heel of your rear foot should be a little raised with your back knee bending slightly inwards.

Next, your wrist should rotate with your elbows bent and the club behind you.

Your body weight should shift from your front heel and end at the toes of your rear foot.

So by now, you have a fair idea about how to swing a golf club and practice your shots the right way. I’d like to mention it once again that practicing these shots won’t give you instant results.
